WUA is a movement born in Geneva, in 2013, from the collective visionary of skilled people. WUA has collaborated on various socio-cultural, educational, communication and ethical finance projects.
The common goal of Wax Up Africa and Talking Hands is to promote African culture, know-how, design and creativity that values contemporary and functional research approaches.
The collective of WUA is almost entirely female, it's made up of members: Perrine, Caroline, Melissa, Gaëlle, Aïcha and Malamine. The only male presence exists in the group of founders.
Talking Hands joins WUA in the shared vision of movement without borders. Our vision is only achievable if we combine forces towards a common goal. You can find Talking Hands products stocked in the WUA boutique in Geneva. A heartfelt thanks to Anne Grossfilley; a great anthropologist and one of the world's leading experts in African textiles. Anne has been the fairy Godmother of this new collaboration, to Perrine and Caroline and to the entire WUA team.
